paisleyhearts asked: Mercy has been telling me for weeks and weeks to read We Were Friends and I was always all "Yes, yes. In due time. I'll read it eventually." So, today, I finally went through the whole thing. My feels are shot dead and only got beaten worse with the last chapter. Somewhere around chapter 8 or 9, I noticed a change in your style. I'm by quite sure how to describe it but I definitely liked it more. It was a wonderfully done fic. I'll eventually read the sequel X)
Omgosh thanks! Re the style change, it does take place after chap 7 which is where I feel she makes the transition into more mature, adult like behavior. (it’s also the most popular chapter according to stat counter, imagine that.) this later style is more like my “natural” style, whereas prior to that it’s very simplistic and teenagery? Idk how that came across.

Anonymous asked: I'd just like to say that I really appreciate your writing. Well, appreciate is an understatement. You write wonderful pieces - Amorra is a fascinating ship. (Also, thank goodness for your good grammar, because I can't read any fanfiction that is grammatically incorrect.)
Thanks! I slip up here and there but I try.

Anonymous asked: Would you ever consider writing some smutty Korrlok?
Would I consider it … or is it secretly already written and do I feel super guilty about it? Because the answer is yes >.>

Anonymous asked: Are you getting back to writing the hunt soon? Amorrians everywhere miss it so much.
my fan endeavors have to happen after my real life work. i don’t mean to be vague but i don’t like to discuss my rl problems here. ;-; basically, i’m jobhunting and all the blah blah blah associated with that has greater weight and influence over how i spend my time. curse you, adulthood. (this is also why i am spotty with updates and anything that doesn’t take more than a second out of my life.)

Anonymous asked: I love WWF! I think I'm starting to like this ship because of it. Can you recommend some of your favorite Amorra fics?
For more amorra, i’m going to direct you to this fine list of fics put together by the infamous savagelee. While you’re at it, read lee’s Cheating the Spirits, and then the rest of it (if you have a strong stomach because wow no holds barred, i guess the rest of us forgot that this is the fandom darkship while we were reading The Trophy Wife.)
my FAVORITE favorite is unfortunately Peace on Silver Pass. i’m sorry. i’m not sorry. it’s hilarious.

Secrets
More of this! Urgh, let’s just set my writing relationship with noatak to “open and it’s complicated”

Anonymous asked: Wasn't WWF all about Amon being Noatak? What changed your opinion about him?
Hmm, well yes it was >.> so is the hunt, too. But I guess fanfiction is therapeutic that way. Like I said, it’s canon, so I need to make peace with that. But then again, so is Makorra? I don’t hate Mako, but he does get extra layers in the fanfiction I write about him. So does Noatak. I think it’s my way of coping.
Out of all the possible storylines, they decided on one that didn’t resolve anything (korra’s spiritual block, equalist grievances, political dynamics) and required a lot of exposition that didn’t get conveyed effectively enough. Like, if Yakone and the bloodbending backstory was presented in a clean logical way, like maybe the equalists were using methods very similar to Yakone’s methods, or Amon’s bloodbending was elaborated on more convincingly, or Tarrlok reminisces about his dead older brother, like maybe the audience finds out about it early or something. But I think instead a lot of effort was wasted on having the fans “not be able to guess” the twist ending. I don’t think there needs to be a twist to make a good narrative, and basically that’s what it was; a SHOCKER twist that didn’t need to be a shock, and was not adequately set up for. And the longer I dwell on it, the bitterer I become.
And also, WWF was written for a prompt, and I like a challenge. So? Idk. I guess sometimes I write to put bandages on the canon for my own gratification.
